From the recording CONCERT BAND MUSIC for SMALL SCHOOL BANDS, Vol. 3
The composition “WHAT ARE YOU DOIN’ ABOUT IT?” is a slang word which means "style, coolness, and confidence."
“WHAT ARE YOU DOIN’ ABOUT IT?” was written for my band students with the purpose of providing them with a “fun” song to play in the stands at football and basketball games, as well as school programs.
“WHAT ARE YOU DOIN’ ABOUT IT?” is dedicated to the amazing students that I had the privilege of teaching for over 35 years as a band director, in the Madison County Florida Public School System.
